Berwickshire Wheels (previously a part of Bavs) joined Borders Wheels to create a Scottish Borders-wide community transport service. It continues to operate from Duns.

Duns Food Bank covers Berwickshire west of the A1 and delivers food, toiletries etc. to those in financial difficulties.
